| Terese
Corey Blanck, M.Ed. offers unique expertise in college
student development combined with in-depth knowledge of post-college
business employment needs.
For the past
20 years, Terese has worked closely with college students and recent
graduates to help them identify their innate talents and desires,
plan their educational and career paths, and enhance both their
personal development and their career employability.
Terese was inspired
to launch College to Career when she opened and managed the Minneapolis
office of a specialty staffing firm that matched recent college
graduates with employers such as Target, Wells Fargo Bank, and Best
Buy. Through this work, she discovered that many recent graduates
leave school not knowing what they want to do, much less having
prepared themselves for the world of work. In response to this unmet
need, Terese founded College to Career to offer students career
guidance before and during college—so that they succeed after
college.
After receiving
her master's degree in College Student Development from Colorado
State University, Terese spent the next 12 years working for small
private universities as well as large public universities in the
area of student affairs. She was Assistant Director of Student Life
at Hofstra University in New York before returning to Minnesota
to be an Associate Program Director at the University of Minnesota
and Assistant Director of Residence Life at the University of St.
Thomas.
A frequent speaker
on college campuses, Terese also presents at major conferences on
the topic of college student development.

| Judy
Anderson, M.A. knows firsthand what students encounter
in college, having worked at both small and large institutions for
the last 10 years.
Judy believes
students have so many options and avenues available to them that
discerning the path that will optimize their talents and passions
can be difficult. She also believes that college students need to
put into college what they want to get out of it. In other words,
students need to engage in the journey of finding their personal
passion and meaning. If students prepare themselves and intentionally
participate in the opportunities a college experience can provide,
they'll be prepared for a successful future—whatever that
means to them.
Judy has advised
more than 150 students who have been volunteers or employees. These
relationships have been highly personal, and her approach involves
challenging them to reach their potential and holding them to a
set of high expectations. Her personal philosophy with students
has always been to expect more from them than they expect from themselves.
Ultimately, they just need someone to believe in them.
As a graduate
admission counselor, Judy saw the importance of not only academic
preparation, but also experience, passion, and clarity for one’s
future endeavors. She also worked for five years coordinating the
University of Minnesota’s Mentor Connection program for the
U of M Alumni Association. Each year, more than 1,500 students were
paired in a mentoring relationship that focused on their career
development. As importantly, students got to see for themselves
what professionals in their fields of choice did on a daily basis,
giving them the opportunity to check their expectations and clarify
their goals.
Judy holds a
master’s degree in Student Development in Higher Education
from the University of Iowa. She has more than 10 years of experience
working in undergraduate and graduate admissions, orientation, and
student leadership and alumni mentoring programs. She has been an
instructor in the University of Minnesota’s Leadership Minor
and has co-authored two handbooks for faculty who teach first-year
students. She has presented to students, alumni, and faculty and
staff on leadership development, first-year transition issues, and
mentoring.
Judy has worked
at the University of Iowa, the University of Minnesota, and the
College of St. Catherine. She is now a higher education consultant.
